Surgical removal of vocal cord polyps can be used to treat fibrotic vocal nodules or long-standing vocal cord polyps. The commonly used surgical approach currently is microlaryngoscopic excision of vocal cord polyps, which requires specialized expertise. To avoid potential harm to the body, it is recommended to undergo the procedure at a正规 hospital under the guidance of a qualified physician. Adequate rest is important after surgery.

Generally, vocal cord polyp surgery can be used to treat fibrotic vocal nodules or long-standing vocal cord polyps. Currently common surgical methods include laryngeal fiberendoscopic removal of vocal cord polyps, or polypectomy under electronic laryngoscopy or microlaryngoscopy with a suspension laryngoscope. Taking microlaryngoscopic polypectomy with a suspension laryngoscope as an example, the specific procedure is as follows:

1. Administer intravenous anesthesia to induce general anesthesia in the patient.

2. Position the patient supine and insert the suspension laryngoscope into the patient's mouth to expose the vocal cords and glottis.

3. Under guidance of the suspension laryngoscope, observe the size, location, and shape of the vocal cord polyp, and determine the surgical site.

4. Use a laryngeal forceps to completely remove the polyp, taking care during excision to avoid damaging the vocal cords.

5. If bleeding occurs, apply local pressure using a small cotton ball to achieve hemostasis.

6. After confirming no abnormalities, withdraw the suspension laryngoscope to complete the procedure.

This procedure requires specialized expertise. To prevent bodily harm, it is recommended to seek treatment at a reputable hospital and undergo the procedure under the guidance of a qualified physician. Postoperatively, ensure adequate rest and avoid spicy or irritating foods to promote proper recovery.
