Video of Supratrochlear Lymph Node Examination
Under normal circumstances, the epitrochlear lymph nodes are located in the groove between the biceps and triceps muscles, approximately 3–4 cm above the medial aspect of the upper arm. Common examination methods include physical examination and color Doppler ultrasound. Taking physical examination as an example, the specific procedure is as follows:
1. The examinee should sit, and the examiner stands in front of the examinee.
2. The examiner uses the fingertips to palpate the examinee's neck, especially the lateral cervical region, applying moderate pressure to feel for lymph nodes.
3. During palpation, slightly increase the pressure to assess deeper epitrochlear lymph nodes.
4. Adjust finger position and vary the degree of light pressure while moving along the side of the neck. Observe the size, texture, and mobility of the lymph nodes.
5. Record relevant information based on the findings.
Physical examination allows for a preliminary assessment of the patient's epitrochlear lymph node status. If this examination is needed, it is recommended to visit a正规 hospital and have it performed under the guidance of a qualified physician. If abnormal results are found, prompt medical consultation is advised.
