How to remove a circular ring
Under normal circumstances, a circular ring refers to a round intrauterine device (IUD). Women need to have the round IUD removed when planning for pregnancy, after entering menopause, or when experiencing significant discomfort such as vaginal or uterine irritation. The specific procedure is as follows:
1. After emptying the bladder, the patient assumes the lithotomy position.
2. The doctor clears any fluid from the vagina, disinfects the vagina and cervix with iodophor, and then uses a cervical clamp to grasp the anterior or posterior lip of the cervix.
3. A uterine sound is used to measure the depth of the uterine cavity and locate the position of the round IUD within the cavity.
4. Once the round IUD is located, it is removed using an IUD hook.
5. Any residual tissue is thoroughly cleaned; if bleeding occurs, pressure is applied to stop it.
Pain during removal of a round IUD is generally mild. If the patient is sensitive to pain, anesthesia can be discussed with the doctor beforehand. After the procedure, adequate rest is recommended, and sexual intercourse and tub baths should be avoided for two weeks. It is advisable to visit a正规 medical institution and have the procedure performed by a qualified healthcare professional.
