Introduction
Lung biopsy examination usually refers to a pathological examination aimed at determining whether the lesion is caused by inflammation or tumor. In a lung biopsy, the doctor sends the affected tissue sample to the pathology department for testing, where the cause of the lesion is identified, helping the doctor provide appropriate treatment. Additionally, if a diagnosis of malignant tumor or cancer is confirmed, it is recommended to actively cooperate with the doctor's treatment plan.

Lung biopsy examination usually refers to pathological examination, which helps determine whether the cause of the lesion is inflammation or tumor.

In a lung biopsy, doctors typically send the affected tissue to the pathology department for testing. The sample is processed into an HE-stained slide, allowing pathologists to examine the nature of the lesion and assist clinicians in providing targeted treatment. If the lesion is caused by inflammatory infection, it is generally classified as either acute or chronic. It is also necessary to determine whether there is infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis or fungal pathogens. Fungal infections may be further categorized into types such as Aspergillus or Mucor species.

If the test confirms a tumor, further evaluation must be based on the results to determine whether it is a carcinoma or neuroendocrine tumor, guiding subsequent disease assessment. In cases of Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection, patients should take antimicrobial medications as prescribed by a doctor, such as rifampicin capsules or ethambutol hydrochloride tablets. For fungal infections, antifungal drugs such as fluconazole tablets or caspofungin tablets may be prescribed under medical supervision.

In addition, if diagnosed with a malignant tumor or cancer, it is recommended to actively cooperate with medical treatment and follow medical advice regarding medication or surgical intervention to improve outcomes.
