Introduction
In general, left frontal headaches may be caused by physiological factors, cluster headaches, sinusitis, hypertension, or cerebral aneurysms. With physiological factors, patients may experience pain if the forehead is exposed to cold wind, which typically resolves upon returning to a warm environment. If a patient experiences persistent left frontal headache, it is recommended to seek medical attention at a hospital to avoid delaying diagnosis and treatment.

Generally, left frontal headache may be caused by physiological factors, cluster headaches, sinusitis, hypertension, cerebral aneurysm, and other factors. Specific analyses are as follows:

1. Physiological Factors

If the forehead is exposed to cold wind, pain may occur; symptoms usually resolve upon returning to a warm environment, and no special treatment is required.

2. Cluster Headache

Reversible vasodilation may lead to left frontal headache, often accompanied by a sensation of heaviness or fogginess in the head. Under medical guidance, patients may use medications such as sumatriptan succinate tablets or zolmitriptan tablets to relieve symptoms.

3. Sinusitis

Obstruction or compression of the osteomeatal complex in the nasal passages may cause left frontal headache, along with symptoms such as nasal congestion and purulent nasal discharge. Treatment for acute sinusitis typically involves symptomatic use of antibiotics. Patients may follow physician advice to use cephalosporin-class anti-inflammatory drugs, combined with intravenous metronidazole when necessary.

4. Hypertension

A sudden increase in blood pressure may trigger left frontal headache. Diagnosis can be confirmed through blood pressure measurement. Patients with high blood pressure should engage in moderate exercise, avoid prolonged sitting, quit smoking and alcohol, and regulate their emotions to reduce stress and anxiety, which can also help lower blood pressure.

5. Cerebral Aneurysm

During onset, symptomatic vasospasm associated with a cerebral aneurysm may cause left frontal headache. Diagnosis is primarily confirmed via cerebral angiography. Surgical intervention at a hospital is required for treatment.

In addition, persistent left frontal headache could also be caused by intracranial tumors. It is recommended that patients seek timely medical evaluation if they experience ongoing symptoms to avoid delays in diagnosis and treatment.
