Introduction
Ezetimibe refers to ezetimibe tablets, and rosuvastatin refers to rosuvastatin calcium tablets. Ezetimibe tablets and rosuvastatin calcium tablets should generally not be taken together; it is recommended to take them separately. Ezetimibe tablets are clinically indicated for the treatment of primary hypercholesterolemia. Rosuvastatin calcium tablets are typically indicated for the treatment of patients who require additional therapy beyond non-pharmacological treatments or dietary control.

Ezetimibe tablets are lipid-regulating medications clinically used to treat primary hypercholesterolemia. Rosuvastatin calcium tablets also belong to the class of lipid-regulating drugs and are commonly indicated for mixed dyslipidemia or primary hypercholesterolemia that cannot be adequately controlled by non-pharmacological interventions or dietary management. Since both ezetimibe and rosuvastatin calcium have similar pharmacological effects, taking them together may lead to additive drug effects, increasing the risk of overdose and excessive intake of lipid-lowering agents. This can adversely affect liver function, causing symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, and headache in patients, and may even worsen blood viscosity.

It is recommended to take ezetimibe tablets and rosuvastatin calcium tablets at separate times and only under the guidance of a physician. Self-medication without medical supervision should be avoided.
