Introduction
Under normal circumstances, signs of successful fresh embryo transfer in IVF include missed periods, frequent urination, nausea and vomiting, breast changes, and increased vaginal discharge. When a fresh embryo successfully implants and begins to develop in the endometrium, the endometrial lining no longer sheds, leading to amenorrhea (absence of menstruation). In addition, some women may experience symptoms such as spotting, abdominal pain, and lower back discomfort.

In general, signs of successful fresh embryo transfer in IVF include missed period, frequent urination, nausea and vomiting, breast changes, increased vaginal discharge, etc. The details are as follows:

1. Missed Period

After successful implantation of a fresh embryo following IVF, the embryo grows and develops within the endometrium, preventing the shedding of the uterine lining and resulting in a missed period.

2. Frequent Urination

Once the fresh embryo implants, it begins to secrete human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). Under the influence of this hormone, blood flow to the pelvic area increases, putting pressure on the bladder and leading to more frequent urination. Additionally, after embryo implantation, progesterone is released, which reduces smooth muscle tone in the urinary tract and enhances excretory function, further contributing to urinary frequency.

3. Nausea and Vomiting

As levels of human chorionic gonadotropin rise, gastric acid secretion decreases and gastrointestinal motility slows down, leading to symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and decreased appetite.

4. Breast Changes

Increased secretion of estrogen and progesterone stimulates the mammary glands, causing symptoms such as breast tenderness and enlargement of the areolas.

5. Increased Vaginal Discharge

The body produces large amounts of human chorionic gonadotropin, which stimulates the shedding of vaginal and cervical mucus cells, resulting in increased vaginal discharge. This discharge typically has no odor or itching.

In addition, some women may experience symptoms such as spotting, abdominal pain, or lower back discomfort. If any uncomfortable symptoms occur, it is recommended to seek timely medical evaluation to avoid delays in diagnosis and treatment.
