Introduction
In general, crying when urinating in infants may be related to factors such as lack of urine, indigestion, incomplete nervous system development, urethritis, or balanitis. It is recommended that patients receive symptomatic treatment as directed by a physician. Additionally, conditions such as cystitis or urinary tract infections may also be contributing factors. If the infant shows any signs of discomfort, it is advisable to seek timely medical attention at a hospital to avoid delaying diagnosis and treatment.

Under normal circumstances, a baby crying during urination may be related to factors such as lack of urine, indigestion, incomplete nerve development, urethritis, or balanitis. It is recommended that patients receive symptomatic treatment under medical guidance. Specific analyses are as follows:

1. Lack of Urine

If a baby does not have urine temporarily and is forced to urinate, crying may occur. This is generally considered a normal phenomenon and does not require special treatment.

2. Indigestion

Due to their young age and immature gastrointestinal development, if a baby suckles excessive milk at once, the milk may not be digested and absorbed promptly in the gastrointestinal tract, leading to indigestion. Symptoms such as bloating and abdominal pain may result, causing discomfort during urination and subsequent crying. Parents are advised to gently massage the baby's abdomen under a doctor’s guidance to relieve discomfort.

3. Incomplete Nervous System Development

A baby's nervous system is not yet fully developed. During urination, stimulation of the urinary sphincter muscle may cause crying. This is a normal physiological phenomenon that typically requires no special treatment and tends to resolve spontaneously with age.

4. Urethritis

Bacteria such as streptococcus can cause capillary dilation, congestion of paraurethral glands, or blockage by clusters of pus cells, resulting in pain during urination and thus crying. Patients may be treated under medical supervision with medications such as amoxicillin capsules or cefaclor granules.

5. Balanitis

In male infants, poor hygiene due to uncleanliness under the foreskin may lead to balanitis, allowing bacteria to travel upward and infect the area. This can irritate the bladder mucosa and nerve tissues, causing pain and crying during urination. Under medical guidance, patients may use medications such as erythromycin ointment or roxithromycin tablets for treatment.

In addition, conditions such as cystitis or urinary tract infections may also be contributing factors. If symptoms persist or worsen, it is advisable to seek timely medical attention to avoid delayed diagnosis and treatment.
