Introduction
In general, if a woman experiences itching on the front and back of her chest primarily at night, it may be caused by conditions such as pruritus, allergies, seborrheic dermatitis, eczema, or urticaria. Patients are advised to follow medical guidance for symptomatic treatment. Additionally, scabies can also cause nighttime itching on the front and back of the chest in women. If a patient develops discomfort symptoms, prompt medical attention is recommended.

Generally, itching on the chest and back at night in women may be caused by pruritus, allergies, seborrheic dermatitis, eczema, urticaria, or other factors. Patients are advised to follow medical guidance for symptomatic treatment. Specific analyses are as follows:

1. Pruritus

This may result from excessively dry skin, or in some cases, parasitic infections. The main symptom is localized or generalized skin itching; however, no skin lesions occur at the itchy sites. After scratching, scratch marks or blood crusts may appear locally. Poor care could lead to secondary local skin infection. As directed by a physician, topical application of medications such as tacrolimus ointment or compound lidocaine cream can help relieve symptoms. If necessary, oral antihistamines such as promethazine hydrochloride tablets or fexofenadine hydrochloride tablets may be prescribed.

2. Allergy

Skin itching accompanied by rashes may be triggered by exposure to allergens. Scratching the affected area with hands should be avoided, and consumption of eggs and seafood should be avoided to prevent worsening symptoms. Antiallergic medications such as cetirizine hydrochloride or loratadine tablets can be taken orally as prescribed.

3. Seborrheic Dermatitis

This is a chronic inflammatory condition caused by excessive sebum production, where sebaceous secretions irritate the skin. It commonly affects the front and back of the chest. In addition to itching, it presents with greasy, scaly patches. Under a doctor's guidance, medications such as tetracycline tablets or enteric-coated erythromycin tablets may be used.

4. Eczema

Eczema is a skin inflammation caused by various internal and external factors. Clinically, in addition to itching, it often presents with papules, macules, or vesicles, and in severe cases, erosion and exudation may occur. Medications such as dexamethasone acetate tablets or cetirizine hydrochloride tablets may be used under medical advice.

5. Urticaria

Urticaria can be triggered by food allergies or infections, typically manifesting as wheal-like skin changes and angioedema. Localized itching may accompany systemic symptoms such as fever, nausea, and vomiting. Under medical supervision, topical treatments such as calamine lotion or mometasone furoate cream can be applied to alleviate symptoms. Oral medications such as ebastine tablets or rupatadine fumarate tablets may also be prescribed for treatment.

In addition, scabies can also cause nighttime itching on the chest and back in women. If patients experience discomfort, prompt medical attention is recommended.
