Introduction
In general, bumps or roughness in the mouth are not normal and may be caused by improper diet, oral ulcers, oral herpes, mucous gland cysts, pemphigus, or other reasons. Patients are advised to follow medical instructions for symptomatic treatment. Additionally, rough or bumpy sensations in the mouth could also result from oral leukoplakia. If patients experience discomfort, prompt medical consultation and treatment are recommended to avoid delaying diagnosis and management.

Under normal circumstances, an uneven or bumpy sensation in the mouth is not normal and may be caused by improper diet, oral ulcers, oral herpes, mucous gland cysts, pemphigus, or other reasons. Patients are advised to follow medical guidance for symptomatic treatment. Specific analysis is as follows:

1. Improper Diet

This may result from consuming spicy or irritating foods that stimulate the oral mucosa, leading to the aforementioned symptoms. It is recommended that patients adjust their diet appropriately, eating more fresh vegetables and fruits such as carrots and tomatoes to help alleviate symptoms.

2. Oral Ulcer

Oral ulcers refer to localized ulcerative lesions on the oral mucosa, which may be related to immune function, genetics, diet, and other factors. Patients may experience round or oval white ulcer spots inside the mouth. It is recommended that patients use medications such as compound chlorhexidine mouthwash or Bingbor Powder under a doctor’s guidance, and avoid consuming spicy, irritating, or overly hard foods.

3. Oral Herpes

Oral herpes refers to blister-like lesions occurring on the oral mucosa, possibly associated with low immunity or poor lifestyle habits. Symptoms may include blisters and pain in the mouth. Patients are advised to take antiviral medications such as acyclovir tablets or valacyclovir hydrochloride tablets under medical supervision. Rinsing the mouth with warm water may also help relieve symptoms.

4. Mucous Gland Cyst

A mucous gland cyst is a superficial cyst formed due to obstruction of minor salivary gland ducts in the oral mucosa, causing retention of secretions. It may be related to trauma or local duct blockage. Symptoms may include lumps and pain in the mouth. Treatment options include using tincture of iodine or Bingbor Powder under a doctor's guidance, or surgical excision of the cyst.

5. Pemphigus

Pemphigus is a chronic autoimmune blistering disease, possibly triggered by drug irritation or immune system disorders. Symptoms may include blisters and erosion on the oral mucosa. Patients may be treated with medications such as prednisone acetate tablets or dexamethasone tablets under medical supervision, or undergo plasma exchange therapy.

In addition, a bumpy feeling in the mouth could also be caused by oral leukoplakia. If patients experience discomfort, timely medical consultation is recommended to avoid delayed diagnosis and treatment.
