What symptoms may be presented in viral hemorrhagic fever?
Viral hemorrhagic fever may present symptoms such as fever, generalized body pain, tissue edema, bleeding, hypotensive shock, and others. If you experience any discomfort, it is recommended to seek medical attention at a hospital promptly and follow the doctor's instructions for treatment.

1. Fever
Regardless of the type of hemorrhagic fever, elevated body temperature is a common early symptom, often presenting as high fever above 39°C. Along with the increased temperature, patients may experience chills, cold sensitivity, and general weakness.
2. Generalized Body Pain
When hemorrhagic fever occurs, typical symptoms include headache, orbital (eye socket) pain, and lower back pain—commonly known as the "three pains." As the condition worsens, joint and muscle pain throughout the body may also develop.
3. Tissue Edema
In severe cases of hemorrhagic fever, tissue edema may occur. Swelling of the eyelids and conjunctiva appears earliest; as the disease progresses, pulmonary edema may develop, accompanied by symptoms such as difficulty breathing.
4. Bleeding
In mild cases, only a few petechiae or bruising spots may appear under the arms, on the chest, or back. In severe cases, major bleeding can occur in areas such as the gastrointestinal tract or brain, leading patients to commonly experience symptoms like hematemesis (vomiting blood), hemoptysis (coughing up blood), and hematuria (blood in urine).
5. Hypotensive Shock
In severe cases of all types of hemorrhagic fever, shock may develop. This presents as decreased blood pressure, cold extremities, rapid heartbeat, and shallow, rapid breathing. In serious cases, it may lead to impaired consciousness, drowsiness, stupor, or even coma.
Maintaining healthy lifestyle habits is essential. Avoid excessive fatigue and strenuous exercise to prevent physical discomfort. It is advisable to engage in appropriate physical activities such as walking or jogging based on individual health conditions, which can help enhance immunity and support recovery.
