How is surgery for ovarian cysts performed?
Ovarian tumors are common female reproductive system tumors, which are usually treated surgically under laparoscopic guidance. This approach is characterized by minimal invasiveness and rapid recovery. The specific procedure is as follows:
1. Place the patient in a supine position and administer local anesthesia.
2. After anesthesia, perform routine disinfection of the abdominal area and drape with sterile towels.
3. Make an incision in the abdomen, insert a pneumoperitoneum needle, and establish a pneumoperitoneum.
4. Insert the laparoscope and relevant surgical instruments to examine, under laparoscopic guidance, the size, nature, and boundaries of the ovarian cyst, as well as the presence of normal ovarian tissue.
5. Lift the ovarian mass to expose the mesovarium and ovarian ligament, then transect these structures and remove the ovarian cyst.
6. After resection, suture the wound surface and irrigate the pelvic cavity with normal saline.
7. Once no abnormalities are detected, close and dress the incision site.
This procedure requires professional expertise. To avoid bodily harm, it is recommended to undergo treatment at a reputable hospital under the guidance of qualified physicians. Postoperatively, adequate rest is essential, and strenuous activities should be avoided in the short term to promote proper recovery.
