Full femtosecond surgery video
Generally, SMILE surgery refers to femtosecond laser surgery, which is one of the corneal refractive surgical techniques used for correcting myopia. The specific procedure is as follows:
1. The patient lies in a supine position. The eye is routinely disinfected, draped, and locally anesthetized.
2. After anesthesia is administered, an eyelid speculum is used to hold the eye open, followed by laser scanning.
3. After laser scanning, a lens-shaped piece of tissue is cut within the corneal layers.
4. A small incision is made at the edge of the cornea. The lenticule is then separated using a spatula and removed through this incision.
5. The interface between the corneal layers is irrigated with physiological saline, and the corneal surface is dried.
6. After confirming no abnormalities, levofloxacin eye drops are applied, completing the procedure.
If considering this procedure, it is recommended to visit a reputable hospital and undergo treatment under the guidance of a qualified physician to avoid potential harm caused by improper operation. After surgery, adequate rest is important; prolonged eye use should be avoided to promote proper recovery.
