Introduction
Nasal ulceration may be caused by poor hygiene habits, nasal vestibulitis, eczema, sinusitis, nasal septum perforation, or other reasons. It is recommended to seek medical attention promptly and receive appropriate treatment after identifying the underlying cause. In daily life, engaging in moderate physical exercise such as running, swimming, jumping rope, or cycling can help improve bodily functions and enhance immunity.

In general, nasal ulceration may be caused by poor hygiene habits, nasal vestibulitis, eczema, sinusitis, or nasal septal perforation. It is recommended to seek timely medical attention to determine the underlying cause and receive appropriate treatment. Specific analyses are as follows:

1. Poor Hygiene Habits

Frequently picking the nose with fingers can damage the nasal mucosa, leaving the nose unprotected and leading to ulceration. It is advised to maintain good nasal hygiene, avoid digging the nose with hands, and use normal saline to rinse the nose when necessary.

2. Nasal Vestibulitis

This may result from bacterial or fungal infections causing inflammation in the nasal area, with inflammatory irritation leading to ulceration. Under a doctor's guidance, medications such as prednisone acetate tablets, dexamethasone tablets, and levofloxacin tablets may be used for treatment.

3. Eczema

Eczema is usually caused by genetic factors or environmental irritants. When it spreads to the nose, it may lead to ulceration and possibly itching. As directed by a physician, treatments may include topical agents such as hydrocortisone butyrate cream, calamine lotion, or tacrolimus ointment.

4. Sinusitis

Typically caused by bacterial infection of the sinuses, sinusitis increases nasal discharge, which irritates the skin and may lead to ulceration. Symptoms such as nasal pain and congestion may also occur. Under medical supervision, treatment may involve antibiotics such as azithromycin tablets, roxithromycin tablets, or penicillin V potassium tablets.

5. Nasal Septal Perforation

This may occur due to trauma causing a perforation in the nasal septum, exposing nasal cavity tissue and resulting in ulceration. In some cases, surgical repair under medical guidance—such as tension-reducing suture of the nasal septal periosteal membrane or pedicled mucoperichondrial flap suturing—may be required.

Regular physical exercise, such as running, swimming, jumping rope, or cycling, is recommended in daily life to improve physical fitness and enhance immunity.
