肝硬化腹水能治愈吗
In general, whether ascites caused by liver cirrhosis can be cured depends on factors such as disease stage, treatment response, and the extent of liver function damage. Patients should seek medical care and receive symptomatic treatment under a doctor's guidance. The analysis is as follows:
1. If ascites develops in the early stage of liver cirrhosis, it can usually be cured with timely treatment.
When ascites occurs during the early phase of cirrhosis, prompt and active treatment—such as taking entecavir tablets, losartan potassium/hydrochlorothiazide tablets, spironolactone tablets, or other medications as prescribed—can significantly alleviate or even completely resolve the ascites, achieving a curative effect.
2. If ascites appears in the late stage with severe liver dysfunction, it generally cannot be cured.
When liver cirrhosis progresses to an advanced stage accompanied by large-volume ascites, liver function may already be severely impaired. Patients may develop various complications such as gastrointestinal bleeding or hepatic encephalopathy. Therefore, ascites due to cirrhosis usually cannot be cured at this stage; treatment focuses on slowing disease progression and improving the patient’s quality of life.
During treatment, patients should restrict intake of high-salt and high-fat foods, maintain balanced nutrition, and moderately increase protein intake to help control disease progression and enhance quality of life.
