Introduction
Most uterine adenomyomas are benign tumors with slow growth and generally do not undergo malignant transformation. For adenomyomas smaller than 5 cm in diameter and without significant symptoms, observation or medical treatment with regular follow-up examinations may be appropriate. However, when an adenomyoma shows abnormal growth accompanied by severe dysmenorrhea, the risk of malignant transformation may increase, and malignancy could potentially occur in such cases.

Adenomyoma of the uterus is a common gynecological tumor formed by the invasion of endometrial glands and stroma into the uterine muscular layer. If the adenomyoma is benign and properly managed through self-care, it generally does not undergo malignant transformation.

1. Benign uterine adenomyomas usually do not become cancerous

The majority of uterine adenomyomas are benign tumors that grow slowly and typically do not turn malignant. For adenomyomas smaller than 5 cm in diameter and without significant symptoms, observation or medical treatment with regular follow-up examinations may be sufficient.

2. Abnormal growth of adenomyoma accompanied by discomfort symptoms may indicate potential malignancy

When an adenomyoma grows abnormally and is associated with severe dysmenorrhea, the risk of malignant transformation may increase. Additionally, long-term mental stress and unhealthy lifestyle habits may reduce the body's immunity and cause hormonal imbalances, which can stimulate the growth of adenomyoma and further increase the risk of malignancy.

It is recommended to have regular gynecological check-ups and seek timely medical attention if any abnormal symptoms occur, to avoid delaying diagnosis and treatment.
