Introduction
Hysteroscopy is an invasive procedure that involves inserting a thin scope through the vagina and cervix into the uterine cavity. This process may cause some damage to the endometrium and cervix, leading to mild bleeding and transient pain. After the procedure, most patients experience light vaginal bleeding or lower abdominal discomfort; therefore, adequate rest is recommended to promote recovery.

After a hysteroscopy, rest may not be necessary if the patient is in good physical condition. However, rest might be required if the individual has relatively poor health or experiences discomfort. If any symptoms occur, prompt medical attention is recommended. Specific details are as follows:

If the hysteroscopy procedure proceeds smoothly without complications and the patient feels well with no significant discomfort, rest is generally not required. Nevertheless, even if no rest or only brief rest is needed, strenuous exercise and heavy physical labor should be avoided to prevent discomfort.

If the patient has poor physical health, experiences complications during the hysteroscopy, or develops symptoms such as light vaginal bleeding or lower abdominal pain, adequate rest may be necessary, and hospitalization for observation and treatment might even be required.

It is recommended to maintain sufficient sleep and healthy dietary habits, consume more foods rich in protein and vitamins, and avoid spicy, irritating foods and beverages.
