Introduction
The number of chemotherapy cycles varies depending on the tumor’s specific location, histopathological type, and clinical stage. Patients with early-stage tumors typically undergo fewer chemotherapy cycles and generally have a better prognosis; in contrast, patients with locally advanced or metastatic cancer require more chemotherapy cycles and tend to have a poorer prognosis. Even for the same type of tumor, the number of chemotherapy cycles may differ based on the patient’s sensitivity to chemotherapeutic agents and the clinical stage of the disease.
