The most frequently used pharmaceutical formulation is disodium adenosine triphosphate injection. Clinically, it is primarily indicated for the treatment of various conditions including heart failure, myocarditis, myocardial infarction, cerebral arteriosclerosis, coronary arteriosclerosis, acute poliomyelitis, and progressive muscular atrophy. Disodium adenosine triphosphate injection may be administered either intramuscularly or intravenously, typically at a dose of 10–20 mg per injection, once or twice daily. However, as ATP is a pharmacological agent, inappropriate use may lead to adverse effects such as dizziness or headache. Moreover, it is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug. Therefore, healthy individuals should avoid self-administering ATP without medical supervision, and consultation with a qualified physician is essential prior to use. Should patients experience chest tightness, shortness of breath, or even respiratory distress after administration, they must discontinue the drug immediately and seek appropriate medical intervention. Additionally, expired or deteriorated products must never be used—this point warrants strict attention.

1. Patients with sick sinus syndrome or atrioventricular conduction block must not receive this drug. Furthermore, because ATP may induce bronchial smooth muscle contraction, it is contraindicated in patients with bronchial asthma.

2. Patients with coronary artery disease and elderly individuals should use this drug with caution; if required, administration must occur under strict physician supervision. Additionally, patients with a history of allergy should avoid this drug to prevent potential adverse reactions.
