Introduction
Applying fresh aloe vera to the face requires careful handling to avoid skin irritation or allergic reactions. The process generally involves selecting aloe leaves, extracting the aloe gel, performing a patch test for allergies, cleansing the face, applying the gel, and waiting for it to be absorbed. If any adverse reactions occur, medical attention is recommended. For hygiene purposes, the aloe juice should be immediately sealed and refrigerated after each use to prevent bacterial contamination.

Aloe vera should be applied to the face with caution to avoid skin irritation or allergic reactions. The process generally involves selecting aloe leaves, extracting aloe gel, performing an allergy test, cleansing the face, applying the gel, and waiting for absorption. If any adverse reactions occur, medical advice should be sought promptly. A detailed explanation is as follows:

     1. Selecting aloe leaves: Choose healthy, mature aloe leaves that are usually darker in color and thicker in texture. Rinse the surface of the leaf with cold water to remove dirt and bacteria. Then, carefully cut open the leaf with a knife and extract the transparent gel portion. Avoid using the green part near the leaf peel, as it may contain irritants.

     2. Extracting aloe gel: Place the cut side of the aloe leaf downward and gently scrape off the gel using a knife or spoon. To control the amount and ensure adequate skin absorption, it is generally recommended to use an amount approximately the size of a thumbnail. Alternatively, the aloe leaf can be cut in half and the gel scooped out with a spoon.

     3. Allergy test: Skin sensitivity varies among individuals. Before applying fresh aloe to the face, it is advisable to conduct a small patch test on the inner forearm or behind the ear. Only proceed with widespread application if no allergic reaction occurs, to prevent skin discomfort.

     4. Cleansing the face: Before applying aloe, thoroughly cleanse the facial skin with a gentle facial cleanser. It is recommended to spend 1–2 minutes cleansing to ensure complete removal of dirt and excess oil from the skin surface, allowing better absorption of the aloe.

     5. Application and absorption: Evenly spread the extracted aloe gel or pulp over the clean facial skin, avoiding sensitive areas such as around the eyes and mouth. Allow the aloe gel to remain on the face for 15–20 minutes to enable the skin to fully absorb its nutrients.

To maintain hygiene, aloe juice should be sealed and refrigerated immediately after each use to prevent bacterial contamination. When using aloe for skincare, it should be combined with other skincare products—for example, applying aloe juice as a hydrating mask after cleansing, and then applying regular moisturizers after absorption.
