Introduction
Under normal circumstances, the differences between cherries (cherries imported from certain countries, often referred to as "cheeries" in Chinese) and local cherries include appearance color, taste, iron content, sugar content, and antioxidant substances. Cheeries are typically dark red in color, larger in size, and firmer in texture. In comparison, local cherries are brighter red but smaller in size, with very thin skin. The flesh of cheeries is more delicate and juicy, with a soft, sweet flavor and virtually no sourness.

Generally speaking, the differences between cherries and sweet cherries (cherries imported from abroad, commonly known as "Cherries") include appearance color, taste, iron content, sugar content, and antioxidant substances. The specific analysis is as follows:

1. Appearance Color

Cherries are usually dark red in color, larger and firmer in appearance. In comparison, sweet cherries are brighter red, smaller in size, and have thinner skins.

2. Taste

Cherries have finer and juicier flesh, with a soft, sweet flavor, almost without sourness. Sweet cherries have a relatively firmer texture, a tart-sweet flavor, and a noticeable fruity acidity.

3. Iron Content

Cherries have a higher iron content, making them a nutritious fruit. Although sweet cherries also contain iron, their content is relatively lower compared to cherries.

4. Sugar Content

Cherries have a relatively higher sugar content, while sweet cherries contain less sugar, with only a small amount of sugar present in approximately 100 grams of sweet cherries.

5. Antioxidant Substances

Cherries contain abundant antioxidant substances, such as flavonoids. Sweet cherries are also rich in antioxidants, particularly anthocyanins and carotenoids.

However, when consuming either type, moderation is important to avoid excessive intake that may cause harm to the body.
