Introduction
Under normal circumstances, Sha Ren (Amomi Fructus Rotundus) is incompatible with Huang Lian (Coptidis Rhizoma), Ju Hua (Chrysanthemum), Bo He (Mentha), Lü Dou (Mung Bean), Luo Bo (Radish), etc., and the use of these herbs should be carried out under the guidance of a physician. Huang Lian is cold in nature and has functions of clearing heat, drying dampness, purging fire, and detoxifying. Sha Ren is warm in nature and can warm the middle jiao and dispel cold. Combining these two herbs may cause conflicting actions, affecting the therapeutic efficacy, especially when treating disorders caused by spleen and stomach deficiency-cold.

Generally, Amomum (Sha Ren) is incompatible with Coptis (Huang Lian), Chrysanthemum (Ju Hua), Mint (Bo He), Mung Beans (Lv Dou), Radish (Luo Bo), and similar substances. Medication use should be conducted under the guidance of a physician. The specific analysis is as follows:

1. Coptis (Huang Lian)

Huang Lian is cold in nature and functions to clear heat, dry dampness, purge fire, and detoxify. Sha Ren is warm in nature and can warm the middle jiao and dispel cold. When used together, they may cause conflicting medicinal properties, affecting the effectiveness of the herbs, especially in treating disorders of spleen and stomach deficiency-cold.

2. Chrysanthemum (Ju Hua)

Ju Hua is cold in nature and has effects of clearing heat and detoxifying, soothing the liver, and improving vision. Sha Ren is warm in nature. When used together, their medicinal properties may conflict, reducing effectiveness. Particularly for individuals with spleen and stomach deficiency-cold, simultaneous use should be avoided.

3. Mint (Bo He)

Bo He is cool in nature and has functions of clearing superficial heat, dispersing wind, and relieving heat. Sha Ren is warm in nature and can warm the middle jiao and dispel cold. When taken together, their medicinal properties may conflict, affecting efficacy. Individuals with spleen and stomach deficiency-cold should especially avoid combining them.

4. Mung Beans (Lv Dou)

Lv Dou is cold in nature and can clear heat and detoxify, promote diuresis, and reduce edema. Sha Ren is warm in nature. Their opposing properties may neutralize each other's effects when consumed together, thereby reducing the therapeutic effect of Sha Ren.

5. Radish (Luo Bo)

Sha Ren is warm in nature and functions to warm the middle jiao and dispel cold, while Luo Bo is cool in nature and can clear heat and detoxify. Due to their opposing properties, combining them may weaken the warming and tonifying effects of Sha Ren, thus affecting its therapeutic efficacy.

Although Amomum is considered incompatible with the above foods, this does not mean they absolutely cannot be consumed together. In daily diet, they may be appropriately combined according to individual constitution and health status, while paying attention to bodily responses.
