Introduction
For benign pulmonary nodules smaller than 1 centimeter, surgery is often not immediately necessary, and the nodules can instead be monitored through regular imaging examinations. If the nodules show no growth or changes, specific treatment is typically not required. Infectious pulmonary nodules caused by bacteria, fungi, or viruses can usually be controlled and resolved with appropriate antibiotic, antifungal, or antiviral therapy.

Generally, pulmonary nodules can be cured through treatment. However, if the nodule is malignant and not treated promptly, it may become difficult to cure. It is recommended to seek timely medical attention and determine the cause under the guidance of a qualified physician before proceeding with treatment.

For benign pulmonary nodules smaller than 1 cm, surgery is often unnecessary. These nodules can be monitored through regular imaging examinations. If there is no growth or change in the nodule, specific treatment is typically not required. Infectious pulmonary nodules caused by bacteria, fungi, or viruses can usually be controlled and cured with appropriate antibiotic, antifungal, or antiviral therapy. Larger nodules or those with malignant potential can usually be cured through complete surgical removal.

However, if a malignant pulmonary nodule is detected at a late stage with existing metastasis, the treatment becomes more challenging and it may be difficult to achieve a cure. Surgery alone often cannot completely cure such cases, and a comprehensive treatment approach combining chemotherapy, radiotherapy, targeted therapy, or other methods may be required. Even with such combined approaches, complete eradication of the tumor cannot always be guaranteed, and the patient's prognosis is generally poorer. Certain specific types of malignant pulmonary nodules, such as small cell lung cancer, are highly aggressive and prone to recurrence and metastasis. The prognosis for these types may remain unfavorable even after comprehensive treatment.

During treatment, maintaining healthy lifestyle habits and a positive mindset to enhance the body's immunity can also help improve treatment outcomes and prognosis.
