Persimmons are rich in carbohydrates, dietary fiber, vitamins, and minerals. However, they also contain a significant amount of tannic acid. Whole milk contains high-quality protein, fat, minerals, and vitamins such as vitamin A and D. The tannic acid in persimmons can combine with the proteins in milk to form tannic acid-protein precipitates that are difficult to digest. Accumulation of these precipitates in the gastrointestinal tract can hinder normal digestion.

It is generally not recommended to consume persimmons and pure milk together.
