How long after a chest X-ray can one try to conceive?
Chest radiography is a commonly used imaging examination method. It primarily utilizes X-rays, which pass through human tissues. Different tissues absorb X-rays to varying degrees, resulting in distinct radiographic features.

These differing radiographic features collectively form the resulting image. Following chest radiography, the body absorbs a significant amount of X-ray radiation, which may adversely affect human health—particularly hematopoietic (blood-forming) function and reproductive system function.

Generally, after undergoing chest radiography, it takes approximately three months for the body to effectively eliminate the radioactive substances absorbed during the procedure; only then is it considered safe to attempt pregnancy.
