Introduction
From the perspective of the original morphology of the medicinal materials, Heishunpian and Fuzi have different sources. Heishunpian is a processed product derived from the lateral roots of the Ranunculaceae plant *Aconitum carmichaelii*, whereas Fuzi is the main root of the same plant. Therefore, Heishunpian and Fuzi differ in their morphological characteristics as medicinal materials. Although Heishunpian is not Fuzi itself, it is a type of processed traditional Chinese medicine slice derived from Fuzi through special processing methods.

Black Prepared Aconite Root (Hei Shun Pian) is not directly equivalent to Aconite Root (Fu Zi), as Black Prepared Aconite Root is a processed product of Aconite Root.

From the perspective of original herbal morphology, Black Prepared Aconite Root and Aconite Root come from different sources. Black Prepared Aconite Root is a processed product derived from the lateral roots of the Ranunculaceae plant Aconitum carmichaelii, whereas Aconite Root comes from the main root of the same plant. Therefore, in terms of medicinal appearance, there are differences between Black Prepared Aconite Root and Aconite Root. Black Prepared Aconite Root is not raw Aconite Root itself, but a processed traditional Chinese medicine slice made from Aconite Root through specific processing techniques.

The processing involves washing mud-coated Aconite Roots and soaking them in a solution of brine (calcium chloride), boiling until thoroughly cooked, removing and rinsing in water, slicing and soaking again in water, dyeing them a dark tea color, then steaming until an oily surface and luster appear, and finally drying. Although Black Prepared Aconite Root still contains certain toxic components, after sufficient processing, the toxic constituents such as aconitine and hypaconitine are significantly reduced, making it less toxic compared to unprocessed Aconite Root.

Both substances have certain toxicity, and special attention should be paid to dosage and method of use to ensure safety and efficacy. In daily life, it is recommended to maintain good lifestyle habits and avoid consuming raw, cold, or greasy foods to promote drug absorption and enhance therapeutic effects.
