Introduction
Cornus officinalis, as a traditional Chinese medicine, is believed to have the effects of nourishing the liver and kidneys, consolidating essence and qi, and strengthening tendons and bones. If a patient's cardiac condition is stable after myocardial infarction, without significant fluid retention or hypertension, and not taking medications that have clear interactions with Cornus officinalis, the use of Cornus officinalis may be considered under the guidance of a TCM practitioner or cardiologist.

Myocardial infarction refers to the death of heart muscle tissue. If a patient's condition is stable,山茱萸 (Cornus officinalis) may generally be consumed according to medical advice. However, if the patient's condition is severe or there are potential drug interactions,山茱萸 is generally not recommended. If discomfort occurs, prompt medical attention is advised.

As a traditional Chinese herb,山茱萸 is believed to nourish the liver and kidneys, consolidate vital essence, and strengthen tendons and bones. If a myocardial infarction patient's cardiac condition is stable, without significant fluid retention or hypertension, and if they are not taking medications that interact significantly with山茱萸, a qualified TCM practitioner or cardiologist may consider recommending an appropriate amount of山茱萸.山茱萸 might help improve the patient's general condition, particularly for those exhibiting symptoms of kidney deficiency.

If a myocardial infarction patient remains unstable, with symptoms such as significant angina or arrhythmia, immediate Western medical interventions such as thrombolytic therapy or interventional procedures should be prioritized. At this stage, it is generally not advisable to use traditional Chinese medicine as an adjunctive treatment. Although山茱萸 has significant medicinal value, it is not suitable for everyone. For instance, pregnant women, nursing mothers, and children should use it cautiously. Additionally, patients with known allergies to山茱萸 should avoid its use.

Myocardial infarction patients typically require multiple Western medications, such as antiplatelet agents and lipid-lowering drugs. Before using山茱萸, it is important to consult a qualified physician to determine whether any drug interactions exist, in order to avoid compromising drug efficacy or increasing the risk of adverse reactions.
