Introduction
If the minor is an older child presenting with symptoms of liver and kidney deficiency such as dizziness, tinnitus, and soreness and weakness of the waist and knees, he or she may, under the guidance of a TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) physician, take a proper amount of Cornus officinalis (Shanzhuyu) to nourish the liver and kidneys. When taking Cornus officinalis, strictly follow the dosage recommendations provided by the physician and closely monitor the minor's physical response. Some minors with weak constitutions and the aforementioned symptoms may benefit from this treatment.

Generally, if the minor is of an older age and has relevant indications, they may take cornus officinalis (Shanzhuyu) as directed by a physician. If the minor is too young, lacks related symptoms, or has a special constitution, it is usually not advisable to take it. If discomfort occurs, prompt medical attention is recommended.

If the minor is an older child experiencing symptoms such as liver and kidney deficiency, dizziness, tinnitus, or soreness and weakness of the waist and knees, cornus officinalis may be taken in appropriate amounts under the guidance of a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) physician to nourish the liver and kidneys. When taking cornus officinalis, strictly follow the dosage recommendations provided by the physician, and observe the minor's physical response. For some physically weak minors with the aforementioned symptoms, moderate consumption of cornus officinalis under the guidance of a TCM practitioner is safe and beneficial.

For younger infants whose liver and kidney functions have not fully matured, cornus officinalis is not recommended because it has certain medicinal properties. As a medicinal herb, cornus officinalis has a warm nature and hot potency. It is unsuitable for minors with a hot body constitution or excessive internal heat symptoms such as dry mouth, thirst, or constipation, as it may exacerbate internal heat, leading to heatiness or other adverse reactions.

Prior to taking cornus officinalis, consultation with a qualified TCM physician is necessary to determine whether the minor's constitution and medical condition are suitable for its consumption. Attention should also be given to adjusting lifestyle habits, maintaining good作息 (作息 translates as作息, please clarify if needed) and dietary practices to enhance overall immune function.
