How to use Warm Baby (warm compress)
A hand warmer is an item that generates heat for warmth. When using it, you need to open the packaging, rub or expose it to air, select an appropriate placement location, pay attention to the way of application, and replace it periodically. The specific steps are as follows:
1. Open the packaging: Remove the hand warmer from its packaging bag carefully without tearing it directly, to prevent leakage of the internal heating agent. This is the first step in using a hand warmer and ensures it functions properly.
2. Rub or expose to air: Some hand warmers require rubbing to fully mix the internal ingredients and release heat; others begin heating automatically after being exposed to air for 5–10 minutes. If automatic activation does not occur, gently shake or press the warmer.
3. Choose an appropriate location: Place the hand warmer on the area requiring warmth, such as the waist, abdomen, or back, or place it in a clothing pocket or close to the body. This ensures the hand warmer effectively provides warmth.
4. Pay attention to placement: Apply the hand warmer on dry skin. Avoid placing it on damp skin, such as under the arms or on the soles of the feet where sweating is common. Additionally, do not place the hand warmer directly on the skin; wrap it in clothing or a towel to prevent overheating or burns.
5. Replace periodically: Hand warmers typically can be used continuously for 6–12 hours. When the temperature begins to drop, replace them promptly. For safety, check the condition of the hand warmer approximately every 2 hours and replace when necessary.
When using hand warmers, avoid using them while sleeping to prevent accidents. Additionally, avoid using hand warmers in high-temperature environments or near heat sources such as electric stoves or ovens. If using an electric hand warmer, ensure electrical safety by avoiding use in damp environments and confirming that the power cord is undamaged.
