Can seafood and white wine be consumed together?
For healthy individuals, seafood and white spirits can generally be consumed together. However, for those with specific physical constitutions, it is usually not advisable to combine them.

For most people, moderate amounts of seafood paired with moderate amounts of white spirits typically pose no significant contraindications. Seafood is rich in protein, vitamins, and minerals, while the alcohol content in white spirits may aid digestion and promote blood circulation. When in good health and without related medical conditions, consuming seafood in moderation and drinking a small amount of white spirits is generally acceptable and may even offer health benefits.
Seafood contains abundant protein, unsaturated fatty acids, calcium, zinc, and also relatively high levels of purines. White spirits also have a high purine content. Consuming these together may lead to elevated uric acid levels in the body, exacerbating gout and causing joint discomfort, such as redness, swelling, heat, pain, and restricted movement. Additionally, white spirits are highly irritating and may stimulate the gastrointestinal tract, leading to nausea, vomiting, dizziness, headaches, and other discomforts.
Regardless of one's health status, it is important to follow the principle of moderation, avoiding excessive consumption of seafood or alcohol, to maintain good health.
