Introduction
Under normal circumstances, preserved egg (pi dan) and bitter melon can be consumed together; however, it is recommended to control the quantity. When consumed in combination, their nutritional components can complement each other, providing comprehensive nutritional support to the body. Bitter melon is cold in nature and has functions of clearing heat, relieving summerheat, improving vision, and detoxification. Preserved egg is also cool in nature and possesses certain heat-clearing effects. Consuming them together may help alleviate irritability caused by summerheat.

Generally speaking, preserved egg (pidan) and bitter melon can be consumed together; however, it is recommended to control the portion size. The analysis is as follows:

Pidan contains nutrients such as protein, fat, vitamin A, vitamin B complex, iron, calcium, and phosphorus. Bitter melon is rich in vitamin C, vitamin E, bitter melon素 (charantin), dietary fiber, potassium, and magnesium.

When consumed together, their nutrients can complement each other, providing comprehensive nutritional support to the body. Bitter melon is cool in nature and has effects of clearing heat, relieving summer heat, improving vision, and detoxification. Pidan is also slightly cool in nature and has certain heat-clearing properties. When consumed together, they can help alleviate symptoms caused by summer heat such as irritability, thirst, and sore throat.

The protein in pidan combines with nutrients such as vitamin C in bitter melon. Vitamin C can promote collagen synthesis, helping the body absorb and utilize protein more effectively and enhancing the body's immunity.

However, it is recommended to control the amount consumed, as pidan contains a certain amount of lead and bitter melon is cool in nature. Excessive consumption may lead to gastrointestinal discomfort, such as abdominal pain and diarrhea. When cooking pidan and bitter melon, it is best to choose healthy cooking methods such as stir-frying with little oil, cold mixing, or making soup, avoiding excessive frying or pan-frying to reduce fat intake.
