Introduction
If hemorrhoids are in the early stage, with only minor rectal bleeding or slight swelling, and if contributing factors such as prolonged sitting and constipation are promptly addressed and anal hygiene is maintained, some hemorrhoidal masses may shrink spontaneously until they disappear completely. At this point, the degree of congestion in the venous plexus is relatively mild, and obvious venous dilatation has not yet developed. By improving local blood circulation and reducing irritation, the anal tissues can self-repair, leading to gradual relief of the hemorrhoids.

Hemorrhoids may resolve on their own when symptoms are mild and proper care is provided. However, when symptoms are severe or have led to organic changes, they generally will not resolve spontaneously. If abnormalities occur, timely medical attention is recommended. Detailed analysis is as follows:

If hemorrhoids are in the early stage, with only minor rectal bleeding or slight swelling, and precipitating factors such as prolonged sitting and constipation are promptly corrected while maintaining anal hygiene, some hemorrhoidal masses may spontaneously shrink and even disappear. At this stage, the degree of congestion in the venous plexus is relatively mild, without significant venous dilatation. By improving local blood circulation and reducing irritation, anal tissues can self-repair and alleviate the hemorrhoids gradually.

When hemorrhoids progress to the extent of prolapse, severe pain, or recurrent bleeding, they generally cannot resolve on their own. At this stage, structural dilation or thrombosis of the venous plexus has already occurred, possibly accompanied by inflammation and infection. Recovery is difficult through self-healing alone, and without intervention, symptoms may continue to worsen. Medical treatment with medications for reducing swelling and relieving pain or surgical removal is usually required to eliminate the lesion.

Even if hemorrhoids have the potential to resolve spontaneously, daily care should still be emphasized. If symptoms persist for more than one week without improvement or recur frequently, timely medical consultation is necessary to avoid worsening of the condition due to delayed treatment.
