Introduction
Bleeding during physical activity may be caused by ovulation-related bleeding, endometrial fluctuations around menstruation, cervicitis, cervical polyps, endometritis, etc. This can be improved by adjusting exercise intensity, ensuring adequate rest, and medical treatment. If bleeding occurs frequently, is heavy, or accompanied by abdominal pain, prompt medical attention is necessary. During ovulation, a temporary drop in estrogen levels can cause slight shedding of the endometrium.

Bleeding after exercise may be caused by ovulation bleeding, endometrial fluctuations around menstruation, cervicitis, cervical polyps, endometritis, or other conditions. Symptoms can be improved by adjusting exercise intensity, getting adequate rest, and medication. If bleeding is frequent, heavy, or accompanied by abdominal pain, prompt medical attention is recommended.

1. Ovulation bleeding: During ovulation, a temporary drop in estrogen levels causes slight shedding of the endometrium. Physical activity afterward may accelerate bleeding, which is typically light in amount and dark red in color, lasting 1–3 days. It is advised to reduce intense exercise, avoid abdominal strain, get sufficient rest, and keep the abdomen warm.

2. Endometrial fluctuations around menstruation: Just before or immediately after menstruation, the endometrium has not fully regenerated. Exercise-induced stimulation may cause minor bleeding, with color gradually changing from dark red to lighter. It is recommended to avoid strenuous exercise 1–2 days before and after menstruation, opting instead for gentle activities such as walking.

3. Cervicitis: Inflammation caused by bacterial infection of the cervix leads to congestion and fragility of the cervical mucosa. Friction and irritation during exercise may result in bleeding, often accompanied by increased vaginal discharge and a sensation of heaviness in the lower abdomen. Under medical guidance, medications such as cefixime dispersible tablets, metronidazole suppositories, and Baofu Kang suppositories may be used to alleviate symptoms.

4. Cervical polyps: Polyps formed by excessive growth of cervical mucosa are fragile in texture. Pulling or friction during exercise may lead to bleeding, usually minor and contact-related. Under medical guidance, medications such as Yunnan Baiyao capsules, metronidazole tablets, and Gynecological Qianjin tablets may help improve symptoms.

5. Endometritis: Inflammation caused by infection within the uterine cavity results in congested and swollen endometrial tissue. Exercise-induced stimulation may trigger bleeding, often accompanied by dull lower abdominal pain and abnormal vaginal discharge. Follow medical advice to use medications such as levofloxacin capsules, cefuroxime axetil tablets, and Fuyankang tablets to manage symptoms.

Maintain good external genital hygiene, wear breathable cotton underwear, avoid tight clothing during exercise, clean up promptly after physical activity, maintain a balanced diet rich in nutrients, and avoid excessive fatigue to support recovery.
