Introduction
Does Nimesulide Dispersible Tablets reduce fever? Nimesulide dispersible tablets are a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with excellent antipyretic efficacy—stronger than that of other commonly used antipyretics such as ibuprofen and acetaminophen. However, they are generally not used as first-line therapy; instead, they serve as second-line agents when first-line drugs (e.g., ibuprofen or acetaminophen) prove ineffective.

Nimesulide dispersible tablets are a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with excellent antipyretic efficacy—superior to that of other commonly used antipyretics such as ibuprofen and acetaminophen. However, nimesulide is generally not used as a first-line antipyretic; rather, it serves as a second-line option when first-line agents (e.g., ibuprofen or acetaminophen) prove ineffective. Due to its potential to cause central nervous system and hepatic injury—including the risk of acute hepatic necrosis—nimesulide is prohibited for use in children under 12 years of age in China and is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
