Introduction
The differences between oseltamivir granules and capsules are mainly reflected in aspects such as formulation characteristics, applicable populations, administration methods, dosage specifications, and absorption speed. The specific differences are as follows. Please select the appropriate formulation according to your individual condition under the guidance of a doctor, and avoid self-medication. Granules are white or nearly white dry granular preparations, while capsules are composed of gray-white and light yellow dual

The main differences between oseltamivir granules and capsules lie in aspects such as formulation characteristics, applicable populations, administration methods, dosage specifications, and absorption speed. Specific differences are as follows. Please select the appropriate formulation based on your individual condition under the guidance of a doctor, and avoid self-medication.

1. Formulation characteristics: Granules are white or off-white dry granular preparations, while capsules are two-colored solid formulations combining grayish-white and light yellow, containing white to yellowish-white powder inside. The two differ significantly in physical appearance.

2. Applicable populations: Granules are more suitable for children aged 2 weeks and older, elderly individuals with swallowing difficulties, etc., whereas capsules are intended for adults and adolescents over 13 years old who can swallow easily, meeting the medication needs of different groups.

3. Administration methods: Granules must be fully dissolved in warm water before oral administration and may be taken with or without food; capsules must be swallowed whole and should not be opened or chewed, each having specific requirements for use.

4. Dosage specifications: Common granule strengths include 15 mg and 25 mg, while capsules are mostly available in 75 mg strength. Pediatric dosing with granules is adjusted according to body weight, whereas dosing with capsules for adults and older adolescents is relatively fixed.

5. Absorption speed: Granules disperse more rapidly in the gastrointestinal tract, resulting in relatively faster absorption; capsules require dissolution of the capsule shell before drug release, leading to slightly slower but more stable absorption—each has distinct absorption characteristics.

During illness, ensure adequate sleep, maintain a light diet with sufficient fluids and nutrition, avoid fatigue and exposure to cold, reduce strenuous activities, keep indoor areas well-ventilated, and practice good personal hygiene to support recovery.
