Introduction
If raised areas persist one month after getting a tattoo, they can be managed by observing the appearance of the bumps, keeping the area clean, avoiding irritation and friction, moisturizing moderately for skin repair, and checking for signs of allergy or infection. In most cases, such bumps are normal parts of the healing process or indicate mild inflammation. However, if the raised areas are accompanied by redness, swelling, pus, severe pain, worsening itching, or spreading in size, medical attention is recommended promptly.

If a tattoo remains raised one month after application, it can be managed by observing the appearance of the bump, maintaining local cleanliness, avoiding irritation and friction, moderately moisturizing and repairing the skin, and checking for signs of allergy or infection. In most cases, this is a normal part of the healing process or a mild inflammatory response. However, if the raised area is accompanied by redness, swelling, pus, severe pain, worsening itching, or spreading in size, medical attention should be sought promptly.

1. Observe the appearance of the bump: Check whether the raised area is smooth, whether there is redness, swelling, or fluid discharge, and whether it is associated with itching or pain. A smooth bump without discomfort is often due to scar tissue proliferation, while abnormal symptoms may indicate infection or allergic reaction.

2. Maintain local cleanliness: Gently wash the tattooed area with lukewarm water, avoiding harsh or irritating cleansers. After washing, pat dry gently with a clean soft towel. Keeping the skin dry helps reduce bacterial growth.

3. Avoid irritation and friction: Do not scratch or press on the raised area. Wear loose, breathable cotton clothing to prevent fabric friction or tight compression, minimizing external stress on the healing skin.

4. Moderate moisturizing and repair: Use a gentle, fragrance-free, alcohol-free moisturizer or a specialized tattoo aftercare ointment. Apply 1–2 times daily to keep the skin hydrated and support softening and recovery of scar tissue.

5. Check for allergic reactions or infection: Reflect on possible exposure to allergens such as metals or dyes. Itching and red rashes may suggest an allergic reaction, while pus, redness, swelling, heat, and pain are signs of infection, requiring targeted treatment.

In daily life, avoid exposing the tattooed area to direct sunlight, refrain from using irritating cosmetics or medicated creams, maintain a light diet avoiding spicy or allergenic foods, and ensure regular sleep patterns to support skin healing—helping the raised areas gradually fade with gentle care.
