Amoxicillin tablets are oral broad-spectrum antibiotics effective in treating respiratory tract infections, relieving symptoms of urinary tract infections, improving gastrointestinal infections, inhibiting skin and soft tissue infections, and assisting in the treatment of bone and joint infections. They should be used according to specific indications. If rash, difficulty breathing, or severe diarrhea occurs after taking the medication, prompt medical attention is recommended.

1. Treatment of respiratory tract infections: Amoxicillin is effective against pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and pneumonia caused by pathogens such as hemolytic streptococci and Streptococcus pneumoniae. It inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, reduces inflammatory symptoms like coughing, sore throat, and sputum production, and promotes recovery from infection.

2. Relief of urinary tract infections: For urethritis, cystitis, and pyelonephritis caused by pathogenic bacteria such as Escherichia coli, amoxicillin kills bacteria in the urinary tract, alleviates symptoms including frequent urination, urgency, and painful urination, and is suitable for treating mild to moderate urinary tract infections.

3. Improvement of gastrointestinal infections: The drug exerts antibacterial effects against bacterial dysentery caused by Salmonella and Shigella, as well as gastritis and gastric ulcers associated with Helicobacter pylori infection. It helps control infection and relieve discomfort such as abdominal pain and diarrhea.

4. Inhibition of skin and soft tissue infections: Amoxicillin can treat cellulitis, wound infections, and folliculitis caused by Staphylococcus aureus and other bacteria. By eliminating local bacteria, it reduces symptoms such as redness, swelling, pain, and pus formation, thereby promoting wound healing.

5. Adjunctive treatment of bone and joint infections: For osteomyelitis and arthritis caused by bacterial invasion, amoxicillin can penetrate bone tissue to exert its antibacterial effect. When used in combination with other therapies, it helps control infection and alleviate joint swelling, pain, and restricted movement.

Prior to use, ensure there is no history of penicillin allergy. Take the medication strictly according to the prescribed dose and duration—do not arbitrarily increase or decrease the dosage or discontinue treatment prematurely. Avoid alcohol consumption during treatment, and maintain a light, easily digestible diet. Store the medication in a tightly sealed container in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children and pets.
