Introduction
When hepatitis virus levels are high, medication selection should be based on the type of virus and the patient's condition. Commonly used drugs include entecavir tablets, tenofovir alafenamide fumarate tablets, sofosbuvir/velpatasvir tablets, and pegylated interferon alpha-2a injection. Entecavir tablets are suitable for adult patients with chronic hepatitis B who have active viral replication, and work by inhibiting viral DNA polymerase activity to block replication.

When hepatitis virus levels are high, medication selection should be based on the type of virus and the patient's condition. Commonly used drugs include entecavir tablets, tenofovir alafenamide fumarate tablets, sofosbuvir/velpatasvir tablets, pegylated interferon alpha-2a injection, and silybin capsules. A detailed analysis is as follows:

1. Entecavir Tablets: Suitable for adult patients with active replication of chronic hepatitis B virus. It works by inhibiting viral DNA polymerase activity to block replication. The drug should be taken on an empty stomach, and liver function and viral load should be monitored regularly.

2. Tenofovir Alafenamide Fumarate Tablets: Highly effective against chronic hepatitis B virus infection, this drug inhibits reverse transcriptase to interrupt viral replication. Long-term use requires vigilance for potential kidney damage and reduced bone mineral density.

3. Sofosbuvir/Velpatasvir Tablets: A direct-acting antiviral combination used to treat hepatitis C, showing high efficacy against multiple HCV genotypes. The typical treatment course is 12 weeks. Dose adjustment is required for patients with severe renal impairment.

4. Pegylated Interferon Alpha-2a Injection: Used for hepatitis C and some hepatitis B patients, it clears the virus through immunomodulation and direct antiviral effects. Administered via subcutaneous injection, the treatment duration typically ranges from 24 to 48 weeks.

5. Silybin Capsules: As an adjunctive therapy, it improves hepatitis symptoms by antioxidant effects and stabilization of hepatocyte membranes. It is suitable for supportive treatment of chronic hepatitis and can help reduce transaminase levels.

Patients with high hepatitis virus levels must strictly follow medical advice when taking medications and avoid adjusting doses or switching drugs without guidance. Regular follow-up tests including liver function, viral load, and liver imaging are essential. Immediate medical attention is needed if symptoms such as worsening fatigue or jaundice occur.
