If jaundice spreads throughout the baby’s body or is accompanied by lethargy or poor responsiveness, prompt medical evaluation and intervention are essential.

Clinically, phototherapy using blue light is commonly employed to reduce serum bilirubin levels, supplemented by targeted medications or specialized treatments addressing the underlying cause—thereby halting disease progression and safeguarding the newborn’s brain and overall organ function.

Maintain frequent, scientifically guided feedings to promote increased intake and excretion, thereby accelerating bilirubin metabolism. Ensure a clean, well-ventilated living environment, and consistently monitor changes in the baby’s skin color to support rapid recovery and stabilization.
