Due to their slower onset of action, sustained-release formulations are suitable for mild-to-moderate fever. However, if high fever persists or the patient’s mental status deteriorates, prompt medical evaluation is required to identify the underlying cause of the fever.

Ibuprofen sustained-release capsules possess antipyretic (fever-reducing) effects and can also alleviate various types of bodily pain, making them a commonly used antipyretic and analgesic medication.
