Introduction
Sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL) refers to an abrupt, idiopathic decline in sensorineural hearing. Its primary clinical manifestations include unilateral hearing loss, often accompanied by tinnitus, a sensation of ear fullness or blockage, nausea, and vomiting. SSNHL can occur at any age but is more commonly observed in middle-aged and elderly individuals. With increasing work-related stress and a faster-paced lifestyle, the incidence among younger adults has been rising.
