Introduction
For IVF treatment, we encourage patients to reduce psychological stress and stay relaxed. Excessive anxiety may ultimately disrupt endocrine function and negatively affect pregnancy outcomes. Regarding diet, patients should maintain a normal, balanced diet—avoiding unguided or excessive supplementation. It is important to schedule rest time appropriately, avoid staying up late, maintain a regular daily routine, and establish a healthy circadian rhythm.

When undergoing IVF, we encourage patients to reduce psychological stress and remain relaxed, as mental stress significantly impacts IVF success rates. Excessive anxiety may disrupt endocrine function and adversely affect pregnancy outcomes.

Second, maintain a normal, balanced diet—avoid indiscriminate supplementation. Substances considered “tonics” for some individuals may be harmful—or even toxic—to others; therefore, a regular, healthy diet is the safest choice.

Third, arrange rest time rationally and avoid staying up late. Patients who regularly work night shifts should refrain from doing so during IVF treatment. Establishing consistent daily routines—and thereby supporting a healthy circadian rhythm—is crucial; aim to go to bed and wake up at regular times.

Fourth, ensure high-quality sleep. Frequent vivid dreaming after falling asleep is undesirable. Some patients have shared with me that, following embryo transfer, they dreamed of a successful pregnancy and woke up smiling with joy—only to dream the next night of failure and awaken in tears. Such emotional volatility clearly reflects excessive psychological stress. Beyond this, simply ensuring good sleep quality is sufficient; no additional measures are required.
