Introduction
Forehead Wrinkle Treatment Classification: The appropriate treatment is selected based on individual circumstances, as forehead wrinkles possess distinct characteristics. Depending on the depth of the wrinkles, different surgical or non-surgical approaches may be chosen. For superficial wrinkles, non-invasive methods—such as laser resurfacing or injectable wrinkle reduction—are effective, with excellent results and rapid recovery. However, for deeper wrinkles, surgical intervention is typically required.

A smooth, fair, and radiant forehead is widely considered the most aesthetically pleasing. However, the emergence of wrinkles disrupts this beauty. Forehead wrinkles—often termed “glabellar lines” or “horizontal forehead lines”—typically arise due to habitual facial expressions or natural aging. Many individuals develop multiple deep forehead lines that cannot be resolved through self-care alone, and even diligent skincare offers limited improvement.

Classification of Forehead Wrinkle Treatments

Treatment selection should be tailored to individual circumstances, as forehead wrinkles possess distinct characteristics. Based on wrinkle depth, different modalities may be employed: for superficial wrinkles, non-invasive approaches—including laser resurfacing and injectable neuromodulators (e.g., botulinum toxin)—are highly effective, safe, and associated with rapid recovery. In contrast, deeper, more established wrinkles often require surgical intervention.

Laser treatment is currently the most effective method for eliminating forehead wrinkles. It delivers gentle, painless therapy without requiring anesthesia. Patients typically experience only mild warmth during treatment and need no post-procedural care. Treatment time is brief—approximately 30 minutes per session—with no downtime required; patients may resume normal activities immediately. Results are stable and long-lasting: a full course consists of five sessions spaced one month apart. Clinical outcomes remain consistent for 2–3 years. Importantly, laser therapy is free of adverse effects—no scarring, hyperpigmentation, or hypopigmentation occurs.

Precautions for Forehead Wrinkle Treatment

1. Prior to treatment, ensure optimal psychological readiness and emotional stability.

2. Wash hair thoroughly three days before the procedure. Maintain meticulous cleanliness of the face and scalp to prevent folliculitis or other dermatological infections.

3. To minimize the risk of bruising and hematoma, discontinue aspirin-containing medications four weeks prior to treatment and avoid vitamin E, Salvia miltiorrhiza (Danshen), and similar anticoagulant or antiplatelet agents for two weeks preoperatively.

4. Female patients should schedule treatment outside of menstruation and its immediate pre- and post-menstrual phases.

5. Cooperate fully with your physician’s instructions. There is no need for undue anxiety; discuss anesthesia options openly with your provider based on your personal pain tolerance and clinical needs—and maintain confidence in the process.

6. Strictly adhere to all post-treatment instructions and follow-up regimens to prevent complications.

Forehead wrinkles frequently stem from habitual facial expressions—particularly frequent eyebrow raising and frowning. Therefore, individuals who regularly engage in these expressions are especially prone to developing prominent forehead lines. When seeking treatment, always choose a reputable, licensed medical aesthetic facility. Avoid opting for cheaper alternatives at unqualified or substandard clinics, as such decisions carry significant risks—including unsatisfactory results, complications, and unnecessary inconvenience.
