Benefits of Using Vinegar to Wash Hair
Washing hair with vinegar promotes blood circulation, reduces hair loss, invigorates blood flow, resolves blood stasis, reduces swelling, and detoxifies. Additionally, for individuals with dark hair, it can improve the scalp environment. The scalp’s natural pH tends toward alkalinity; excessive sebum production may further increase alkalinity, thereby impairing normal hair growth. Acetic acid—a weakly acidic solution—helps remove excess oil from the hair and scalp. It also helps inhibit dandruff formation and relieve itching; however, overuse should be avoided.

Vinegar possesses certain antimicrobial and antiseptic properties, which may help improve dandruff caused by seborrheic dermatitis and offer mild anti-dandruff effects. However, this method is not recommended.
