Introduction
It is generally acceptable to receive the bivalent HPV vaccine while taking anti-inflammatory medication. However, there are certain precautions to consider before vaccination. You must not have a fever or an active respiratory infection at the time of vaccination. Typically, the bivalent HPV vaccine is recommended for females aged 9 to 25 years.

Taking anti-inflammatory medication does not preclude receiving the bivalent HPV vaccine. However, certain precautions must be observed when receiving the bivalent HPV vaccine. These are detailed below:

Prior to vaccination, individuals must be free of fever, respiratory infections, or other acute illnesses. Generally, the bivalent HPV vaccine is recommended for females aged 9–45 years. Ideally, vaccination should occur before the onset of sexual activity. A full course consists of three doses to achieve optimal protection against cervical cancer. The first dose may be scheduled at the recipient’s convenience, but must avoid menstruation, lactation, and pregnancy. The second dose should be administered one month after the first, and the third dose six months after the first.

For three days following vaccination, bathing should be avoided to reduce infection risk; additionally, the injection site should be kept clean and dry. For one month after vaccination, consumption of raw, cold, spicy, or highly stimulating foods—such as chili peppers or spicy hotpot—should be avoided.
