A pathologist then examines these slides under a microscope, evaluating architectural features, cell types, and patterns of inflammatory infiltration to arrive at an accurate diagnosis. The resulting wound is minimal and poses negligible risk.

A skin biopsy refers to the collection of a tissue specimen from a pathological lesion for histomorphological analysis, aimed at detecting abnormal or atypical cells or tissues.
