Who Should Not Drink Camel Milk
Disease description:
I have an allergic constitution myself. I’ve heard that drinking camel milk can help prevent allergies, but I’d still like to ask a doctor: who should not drink camel milk?
Individuals with sensitive gastrointestinal systems should avoid consuming camel milk. Fresh camel milk contains a high concentration of bacteria—many of which are harmful to humans—and therefore must be pasteurized before consumption. Although camel milk has relatively low sugar content, it still contains some carbohydrates; thus, individuals with diabetes should also avoid it. When preparing camel milk powder, the water temperature should not be excessively high, as excessive heat may reduce the bioactivity of certain nutrients. It is recommended to use water at 50–60°C for reconstitution.
Camel milk is typically best consumed in the morning upon waking and right before bedtime—these two time points represent peak periods when the body delivers nutrients to the bones, making them optimal windows for energy replenishment.
