What does elevated urinary microalbumin indicate?
Disease description:
I’ve been feeling unwell for some time, especially discomfort in the kidney area. Upon examination, I was found to have elevated urinary microalbumin. What could be causing this?
Discomfort in the renal area has appeared, along with elevated urinary protein levels, suggesting a relatively high likelihood of kidney disease. A low-protein diet should be adopted promptly, and evaluation by a nephrologist is necessary to determine an appropriate treatment plan based on the clinical condition. In most cases, elevated urinary protein may indicate nephrotic syndrome; when indicated, oral glucocorticoid therapy may be considered. Avoid drinking milk, eating eggs, or consuming seafood and other marine products.
