The nipple is anatomically and functionally connected to the liver. Nipple pain is commonly caused by liver qi stagnation or adverse external stimuli; it may also result from infection, neoplastic growth, or other breast pathology. Therefore, diagnostic evaluation is necessary to determine the underlying cause. If a palpable breast mass is detected, surgical or oncological evaluation is warranted. For severe pain, analgesics may be used temporarily, but definitive treatment must address the root cause.
