Hello, accessory breasts can affect aesthetic appearance—especially when wearing swimwear, sleeveless tops, or other clothing that exposes the axillary area—potentially leading to feelings of self-consciousness or low self-esteem in women. They may also cause pain and inflammation, often accompanied by firm nodules, swelling, and tenderness upon palpation. Additionally, there is a risk of malignant transformation: fully developed accessory breasts have a higher incidence of hyperplasia and inflammation compared to normal breast tissue, thereby carrying an increased potential for progression to breast cancer. We hope this information is helpful to you. Wishing you a happy and healthy life!
